70 lakh worth of cannabis was seized.  Along with the three cars, mobile phones and cash worth Rs 2.10 lakh were also seized.  Shamshabad DCP Jagadishwar Reddy disclosed the details of the incident at a media conference held at Kottur police station on Monday.  

Shad Nagar ACP Kushalkar, Kottur town CI Sridhar Bhopal, Shamshabad SOT Venkat Reddy, SI Ravi and others were present at the press conference. On this occasion, Shamshabad DCP P. Jagadeeshwar Reddy said

 According to credible information at Thimmappur under Kottur police station, Shamshabad CI Venkat Reddy and Kottur CI Sridhar Bhopal were involved in a joint operation in which three large-scale cars were cunningly seized at around 1 am, the DCP said.

 According to the DCP, the AP10BA5345, Volkswagen car was raided and 107 packets of cannabis worth about Rs 70 lakh worth Rs 70 lakh were seized by the police while being exchanged for other vehicles, the DCP said.

 MH12H from Maharashtra.  Shamshabad SOT and Kottur police seized the F5992 Maruti Suzuki car, as well as MH12O58185 Hondakar, on information that cannabis was being smuggled.

Nagraj, a resident of Sealer, said his preliminary investigation revealed that he was collecting the cannabis from the forest and moving it to Maharashtra.

Baba Chandekar (45), from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, is associated with Ravi and Nagraj.
Similarly, Thirumali Balu (39), Ganesh Lahori (39), Rajendra (45) and Maloth Vinod (28) of Garidepally in Suryapeta district are said to be working as partners.

Kapukasi was caught with a cannabis smuggling gang at Thimmappur on his way to Maharashtra from the Andhra and Orissa borders.

CP Jagadeeshwar Reddy congratulated the Shamshabad SOT CI Venkat Reddy team, as well as the Kottur CI Bhopal Sridhar police team for nabbing a large-scale cannabis smuggling gang at Thimmappur in the Kottur zone under Cyberabad.

The awards will be announced by Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the state government was taking appropriate steps to ensure that the youth were not addicted to drugs and cannabis, as part of which the police were cracking down on them.  

He said that the Cyberabad police were taking strict measures to eradicate these drugs which were destroying the lives of the youth and looking towards crime.

 He particularly commended his staff for the large-scale catch now that several cases have come to light in recent times.

 He said all those behind the smuggling gang were being investigated and arrested.  Whose characters are said to see what.

Jagadeeshwar Reddy explained that PD Acts will also be registered if required.  He praised the efforts being made by the police.  SOT staff Satyam, Ravi and others participated in the media conference.
